On arrival, my ground floor room request had been forgotten. Reception shuffled things & moved me to a ground floor room. My 2 knee replacements were very grateful. The room was small, just fitting an extremely comfy king-sized bed (with crisp white, clean cotten sheets & pillowslips) & a surprisingly comfy kitchen-style wooden chair. No couch, no armchair. There was no storage - no cupboard, luggage rack, drawers or shelves apart from a small corner shelf with a full-sized kettle, tea & coffee. No wall pictures. The tv worked & the a-c was new, quiet & effective. The large window was triple-glazed with a vacuum seal & completely blocked all traffic noise from the main highway 150m away. The window opened, had a flyscreen & effective thick curtains, & looked onto a shady green area. Bathroom - brand new basin & toilet, sparkling clean (tile grout could do with a clean). No storage, but a shelf for toiletries, mirror & towel-rail - all I needed. For $88, I didn't expect bells & whistles. I got a great, quiet night's sleep in a comfy bed in a clean room with a sparkling clean bathroom. Full marks to the cleaners & reception staff. The Ibis Dubbo punches well above its weight. Well done.

We had a family emergency and had to make a mad dash to Dubbo. This was cheapest available for 3 adults and 3 kids. Booking was easy. Sam, at reception was absolutely fantastic. Very welcoming and friendly, gave me assistance when I needed. There is a small pool here which would be good if you come here when it's hot. The rooms are small but have basics. Lots of parking, close to city centre. We got Pizza Cravings which is just over the way and was the most amazing pizza I had (tex mex is the bomb!!)and they have o.m.g. donuts. Bottle-o not far either Maccas, short drive up the road. There is food vending machines in hallway. They serve continental breakfast from 7 to 10am that also has pancakes.

Staff great 👍🏻 room oldish but clean.lovely clean linen. Great sized bathroom again clean. Parking. Good. Pool looked good 👍🏻 but too cold for us. Dispense machines for chips and drinks. Plenty tea coffee in room. Lots of eating in places right at the door from donuts pizza maccas. The club. Zoo for those going great location. Probably one of the busiest locations in Dubbo but the double glazing did the trick. Comfy mattress but 1 pillow was a bit uncomfortable.

Good place to stay if you need an overnight stop. Many negative reviews but I found it quite good. Clean, easy to find, near decent food places (the venue has dispensers) and friendly staff. As opposed to other reviews, my room was quiet - was a Monday night. It's a budget hotel and you get what you pay for, which is a basic, clean room and a comfortable bed. Heaps of free on site parking. Would definitely stay there again.

I have stayed at Ibis before. I was expecting a refrigerator in the room as during my last stay I had this. I would probably not stay there in the future because of this. When travelling I take provisions to avoid the need to purchase take away food. The staff are wonderful, though they do knock VERY loudly if they need to access. Everything was 10/10 except for the lack of refrigerator.
